Home is where the heart is

Here we are on the last day of 2012...cresting into a new year.  This time of year is always filled with a look back...what happened this year, events both big and small, things to be thankful for, things to hope for / accomplish for the coming year.  I both enjoy the recap of time and loathe it simultaneously.  There is a feeling of pressure to 'start anew', achieve it all and make the coming calendar year 'the best ever'.  I prefer a quieter, slower, more mindful process, one that is likely to last, one that is personal, guided from within, rather than shouted from the rooftops (or in today's age...the blogsphere!).

I do wish for a year where there is a lot of joy, connection, peace and mental space.  A year where time flows rather than feels pressured, where we move through the day with rationality and compassion.  I wish for something really amazing to happen this year, the kind of joy filled event that your heart feels like it is going to explode from happiness and you immediately start jumping and dancing.

I have some goals for 2013...maybe my own studio?  with lots of light, windows, a great espresso maker!  Where is 2013 going to take you?
